Bayreuth/Munich, March 2017: Starting immediately, Anja Scherl will not only be running with, but also for CEP. The athlete from Bayreuth already made a convincing Olympic debut in Rio, firmly establishing her place among top German runners.
Now endurance athlete Anja Scherl has a contract with CEP and will be equipped by the Bayreuth-based company. Her running career has skyrocketed since she began in 2007. Following her 2014 marathon debut in Hamburg, Scherl took third place there in 2016, which qualified her for the Olympic Games. She came in 44th in Rio, making her the best German woman to cover the marathon distance. The ambitious runner received the Bayreuth Athlete of the Year Award at the end of January 2017 for her athletic achievements and dedication to the sport. “I’ve worn CEP products in competition and training for years. So I know that they enhance performance and speed up recovery. I’m excited to have CEP as my sponsor,” says Scherl. CEP is providing Scherl with all of the gear she needs for competition and training. Matthias Schulz, Head of CEP, is also excited about the latest member of the CEP Pro Team: “We want our support for Anja Scherl, Germany’s top female marathon runner, to help her achieve new records and accompany her on her path to her next major successes. We wish her all the best and a great start to the new season.”
